New Delhi: Senior Bollywood actor Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafari alias Jagdeep has died at the age of 81.
Actor Jagdeep’s real name was Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafari and he was the father of comedian and dancer Javed Jafari.
According to Indian media reports, Jagdeep was suffering from various ailments and if he dies at his residence in Bandra area of Mumbai, he will be buried in Mumbai tomorrow.
His three sons Javed Jafari, Naveed Jafari and Hussain Jafari are associated with Bollywood while the famous dance show ‘Boogie Woogie’ is the reason for these brothers.
Ishtiaq Jaffery was born on March 29, 1939 in Amritsar and has acted in about 400 films.
His memorable films include Flames, Style Your Own, Fiction, Across, etc. He last appeared in the film ‘Masti Nahi Sasti’ released in 2017. The film also stars the late Qadir Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Johnny Lever and Prem Chopra.
