Aside from being so delicious, Bananas are super healthy because they are rich with many different nutrients: protein, fibres, vitamins A, B6, and C, potassium, manganese, magnesium, folate, riboflavin, niacin, and iron just to name a few. In addition they are very versatile, you can juice them or just peal one and eat it as it is. The only thing they need to be perfect is a zip.
However our focus in this article is about the by-product of eating a banana which is the peel. At first glance there is nothing special about the peel except when someone slides over one in a cartoon or when you throw one in the way of an opponent playing Mario-kart, but banana peels are very useful in many different ways, and after reading this article we bet that you would never treat it as garbage anymore.
Starting the list with a superficial use, banana peels are good for stopping that itchy feeling resulted from bug bites. Simply by massaging the inners of a peel against the spot of the bite you can feel instant relief. This works well when away on a trip and pharmacies are far away. And speaking of trips, peels can work also on rashes caused by poison ivy or poison oak. Although science is not fully on board with this but many have tried it and the results are good. And at the end it can do no harm at all.
